Styling the 1st and 2nd Trimester

One thing that I have found tough (aside from the persistent nausea in the first few month, headaches, and raging heartburn) during my pregnancy is getting dressed! I never thought I'd say that, but here we are. The first trimester, I felt so horrible, and literally everything made me nauseous. Even looking at my clothes made me want to barf! (I looked it up, it's a thing). I literally wanted nothing to do with my clothes, getting dressed, doing my hair, putting on makeup...or really leaving the house. Even though my clothes still technically fit, I also felt super bloated and only wanted to wear stretchy pants and large sweaters, which was tough seeing as it was right smack in the middle of summer in the Midwest. Now that I am well into my second trimester, I am feeling much better, however I am still having trouble dressing for  my rapidly changing body.

I am finally able to fit into maternity jeans, which are the best invention since sliced bread! Seriously. I am contemplating how I can wear them from now on. There are so many different types of maternity pants out there too! Here are a few of my faves:

I've also become a huge fan of the Ingrid & Isabel line at Target, as well as H&M's maternity line. The latter is a great place to stock up on basics! Old Navy also has a ton of cute sweaters, dresses and maternity jeans as well.  ASOS is also a great place to find unique pieces. Here are some things I've picked up or have my eye on:

Rent the Runway has also been my saving grace for finding things to wear! I have a monthly Unlimited subscription and there is a setting you can turn on for maternity. It filters in their maternity styles, plus other styles that work well for your pregnancy. You can even filter by each trimester! It's also a great way to save some money if you don't necessarily want to replace your whole wardrobe as your body changes and your baby grows.

What do you swear by for maternity clothes? I'm always looking for new things! Let me know in the comments!
