I've loved the idea of this throwback trend for a bit now, but I finally pulled the trigger when I saw this gorgeous red and pink duotone fanny pack. The quilted detail is very on trend and the color combo makes it a really fun accessory.

Here, I styled it with a chic black ensemble to really make it pop, but I'm thinking I can also style it with jeans and a tee, or a denim dress as well. For local festivals, traveling, and other outdoor events, this little buddy is going to be a game changer for me. No more hitting people with my big purse or rounding up the long strap on a small one.
I'm especially excited to take it on my Europe vacation that's coming up this summer! On every list of European style, says not to wear white tennis shoes or fanny packs, but I'll definitely be taking both! How funny is it that "dad style" has evolved into pieces that are so "in" now. Fashion is a funny thing and I love it!

What I love most about this trend is the fact that it is so versatile! When I first saw that fanny packs were going to be huge this spring, I was pretty skeptical, and to be honest, not too excited. However, I then started to see a lot of super sleek and chic belt bags being styled in several different ways. It didn't take me long to figure out that this trend is something that everyone can wear!
In the spring and summer, I wear a ton of dresses. They are just so easy to throw on and go, so I'm excited to style my fanny pack with a summery dress. I'm really digging understated belt bags this season, and I think they will be perfect to pair with all of my summer dresses!
The best part? You can be hands free with a belt bag! Now I'm starting to understand why they were so popular in the first place and used by moms and dads everywhere. ;) Here's to looking like a chic dad this season!
