Sheer Pink Ruffles

You've probably seen my Kansas City Fashion Week post by now, and I'm finally sharing my outfit from the Friday night show! I fell in love with everything about this asymmetric hot pink ruffle dress: the color, the sheer material, the large ruffles, the high neckline, the bell sleeve, and the severe asymmetry. It was a really fun ensemble to show off at fashion week.

I styled the dress over a strappy cami and bell flares. Chunky black lace up booties added an edgy flair to the look. Because I was already going all out, I just added some statement earrings to inject another loud color into the mix. Sequin floral tassel earrings are a retro touch, with '60s-like edging.

I'm also currently loving an ice pink lip color for when I want something bold, but not as rich as a maroon, red, or hot pink. It also has a very '60s feel to it as well. Oh, and the bigger the event, the bigger the cateye eyeliner, that's what they say, right? Or maybe that's just my motto. But, it's a good one if I do say so myself.

Maybe it was all the energy I was getting from this fun, loud ensemble, or the fact that my pants were super stretchy, but I couldn't help but kick up my heels for this shoot!
