The Passport Program: Winter Edition

Molly here. If you've been following us for long, you've probably seen my references to The Passport Program, a booklet of 2-for-1 drink deals around Kansas City. When we first moved here last summer, it was an amazing way to get to know our new city by way of super cool bars and restaurants. After living here only a few months, we felt like we were constantly mentioning places we'd been that KC natives had never even heard of.

It's not just for Kansas City either! If you live in DenverBoulderFort Collins, or Washington D.C., you're also in luck, because they each have their own Passport Program as well!

The booklet is only $20 and offers more than 30 2-for-1 drink deals featuring everywhere from creperies to breweries, wineries, and everything in between, and is good all winter through March 15th. If you use it just a few times, you'll more than get your money's worth.

If you can't wait for one in the mail, you can pick one up at Flying Pig Local MercantileUrban ProvisionsKC Wineworks, or Colony KC. These would make such perfect stocking stuffers.

Now, for a little preview of a few Passport stops below, to give you a little taste of what you're in for.

Julep is a vintage handcrafted cocktail joint in Westport that's perfect for a happy hour or late night sip. They've got classic Old Fashioneds and unique twists on classics, as well as tasty bites. Try not to gawk at the beautiful wall of spirits behind their bar, it's straight up beautiful.

Amigoni is an urban winery in the West Bottoms with tasty wines and a killer atmosphere. I mean, their building is gorgeous enough, but with those holiday decorations, it's just next level. Watch out for their homemade cheese cracker bread because you may eat an entire bowl yourself.

The Doughnut Lounge  is a fun spot for an afternoon pick-me-up or nightcap. The coffee cocktail is their 2-for-1 deal and it is so delish. Pairs well with a s'mores doughnut!

Torn Label Brewing Company is actually where we picked up our first Passport! This cozy brewery has some delicious ale. I only like dark beer, so their House Brew, a coffee stout that's made with coffee from Thou Mayest Roasters, is right up my alley!

Again, this is just a small sampling of places that are included on The Passport. Our goal this winter is to hit every stop! Hope to see you out on the Passport Trail.
