Autumn Daze

I'm going to be honest with you here for a minute. (Not that I'm usually lying to you, but you know what I mean, right?) I've bought tons of clothes and shoes at Target over the years, but I just haven't found much there that I have to have within the last, oh, year or so. So, a couple of months ago I stopped by to buy facewash or something and unwittingly left with pieces of their latest Autumn Daze collection.

The super '70s collection manifests itself in bell sleeves, embroidered jackets like this one, and these chambray overalls. It took a lot of restraint, but I didn't leave with every piece of it. Believe me, I wanted to.

The overalls are such a statement in themselves, you put put them over a white tee with no accessories, and still look put together, but, you know me, I'll take any chance to get a little costumey.  Which is every day, let's get real. I styled the overalls with an off-the-shoulder floral top for a perfectly groovy combination.

The pants are pretty long, which means I have to wear heels or platforms, and these chunky clogs were a perfect fit to the '70s theme. A felt hat adds some vintage character and bold translucent pastel sunnies match perfectly, while keeping the look modern.

If you're still on the fence about rocking wide leg overalls, I'm just going to put it out there that these are hands down the most comfortable pants you will ever wear ever. And ever. (Go get some.)
