Flirty Jackie O

As you can probably tell by now, Molly and I both have a thing for retro style. While her retro style leans toward whimsical, mine is more classic. However, I like to spice things up with a little bit of edge to make the look mine.

Case in point, this dress. I saw this at (surprise, surprise) Modcloth a while back and was just mesmerized by it. The clean outline made me think of Jackie O, while the cutouts on the side made it a bit flirty. I doubt Jackie O would have ever worn a dress with cutouts, but hey, you never know!

I kept the rest of the outfit simple by pairing white wedges (that have been getting a ton of use this summer) and a bright straw clutch. I also made sure to wear my pearls because Jackie O.

Hey, is that a Kennedy over there? Excuse me while I go say hello. ;)

  1. I really admire both of your styles and enjoy reading the blog! I would love to see how you ladies pack a capsule wardrobe for traveling, something I've always struggled with.

    1. Thanks so much, Julie! That's a really great idea! We both do a lot of traveling too, so we know how challenging that can be. Be on the lookout for a post addressing that in September! ;)

And feel free to let us know if there's anything else you'd like to see on here!

  2. I really like the peak a boo sides to that dress. They really show of your waist. Confessions of an Ex-Ballerina

    1. Thanks Sarai! I think it really punches up the look too. A little fun, a little serious. :)
