Rain boots and Stripes

Hunter boots were on my wish list for quite some time before I pulled the plug and bought them. I had a good excuse though, I was going on a trip to Ireland and Scotland. What better reason to buy rain boots? It didn't rain quite as much as I had anticipated, but I still wore these puppies through many an ancient castle.

I really love fun details that make an ordinary article of clothing or accessory different, especially if that detail is asymmetrical. This style of dress has been all over the place and I picked this one up for super cheap online. I've also been wearing this army green jacket whenever I get a chance. It keeps me warm on these chilly spring mornings, but isn't so heavy that you're miserable later on in the day.

Outfit details: Dress: Priceless, Army jacket: Target, Boots: Hunter, Boot socks: Target, Clutch: H&M, Sunglasses: Nasty Gal, Ring: Modcloth, Earrings: Target

  1. I've been thinking about investing in some Hunters myself, but I've read a lot of reviews about how they don't last long any more. How long have you had yours? How are they holding up?

    1. I've had mine for about a year and they are still holding up like new. Granted, I don't wear them every day or do a lot of things to put a lot of wear and tear on them, but so far I think I'd have to do a lot to wear them down!

  2. Great boots! I've been thinking about getting some for exactly the same climate (Ireland and Scotland).

  3. I wouldn't be without my Hunter Wellies they are so comfortable to wear and they stop my Tights getting splashed when it rains.
