Fuzzy Pink

This winter was all about blush pink for me. I acquired more than a few pieces of light pink winter wear over the season, most of them fuzzy or textured. It all started on a trip to Scotland and Ireland last fall, when winter clothes were just getting into stores and fuzzy pink coats were everywhere you looked. While I oogled at the coats in all the shop windows, ultimately sweaters are much cheaper way to jump on fun trends.

These winter pieces are absolutely perfect for a transition into Spring, since everyone equates springtime with soft delicate pastels, anyway. To avoid looking like I'm dressed up as an Easter bunny, I typically pair pastels with something more dramatic, like stripes and black, for a good balance between feminine and edgy. These shoes, which I lovingly refer to as my Frankenstein Mary Janes, help finish off the look perfectly. A bold red lip goes a long way too, if your aim is to evoke classic 60s fashion more than 90s influences. (Ain't nothin' wrong if you wanna take that 90s style train though: just throw on a choker and a dark lip.)
